neskowin

Every guitar has a story, and this one begins in Neskowin, Oregon, where a couple in love with each other and the forest go on a scavenger hunt in the coastal range for the oldest growing stands and most notable historic trees. On the adventure they cross paths with an assortment of creatures and variety of characters from surfers, fisherman, sawyers, and luthiers, all willing to express their profound respect and intimate relationship with the forest.

Most of the wood for this parlor-sized guitar was sourced on that adventure. Oregon myrtle, Sitka spruce and Port Orford cedar are all locally and sustainably sourced. The desert ironwood fretboard is from southeastern California.

This guitar possess the same stature and complexity as the forest that yielded the timber. Comfortable, honest and remarkably expressive, this reliable guitar makes a great traveling companion.
